Project Updates
There are two ways to navigate to the project submit update area.
Updates within Projects
To view updates to your project, click into the Project via the Projects listing page. This will take you to the project's task list.
Click the Submit Updates button at the top of the project's task list to view the Submit Updates page.
- The left side of the page shows previous updates along with a New Status Update button. Click any update to see its details.
- The right side of the page offers the opportunity to input a new update.
Updates from Plans Submit Updates
If your Project is linked to a Plan, the project update can be accessed via Submit updates .
- Once in Submit Updates, select the Project on the left to open it
- Use the right-hand panel to submit your project update
Adding a Project Update
To provide an update to your project, click into the Project via the Projects listing page. This will take you to the project's task list.
Click the Submit Updates button at the top of the project's task list.
In the New Status Update page:
- Provide a narrative summary outlining your project's status update
- Select a Risk Status (if linked to a plan, this will correspond to the plan element's Status value)
- Update the project phase if this has changed since the last update.
- Change the expenditure to update the budget information if applicable.
- Review the Task Completion Progress calculation based on task completion percentage and determine if it's appropriate to Override Progress.
- If you wish to set a manual progress value, check the Override Progress box and use the slider to set the appropriate value.
- Amend the update date if you want to backdate your status update.
- Click Submit Update.
Note that setting the Project's status to Discontinued will not require a progress value to be set; setting the project's status to Completed will automatically calculate the progress at 100%.
System Updates in Projects
Along with updates provided by Project Owners, Envisio will also create system updates will be included in Project Submit Updates or in Plan Submit Updates if the Project is linked to the plan. These updates do not get included on the reports but provides history of changes. The following areas produce system updates:

- Risk Status changed

Progress is changed - this update shows in Plans Submit Updates when the Project is linked to a Plan
- Task creation
- Task deletion
- Task completion
- Task is reopened (moved out of 'completed' status)
