Create Color Palettes for Visuals
Envisio provides you with 3 color palettes that are color-blind safe: General (CB Safe), Gradient (CB Safe), and Accessible Color 1. However, you might prefer to use your corporate colors when creating charts. Instead of changing the RGB or Hex color code each time a chart is being created, you can create your own color palette that your users can easily access. Here's how to create your color palette:
- Click on Color Palettes menu in Analytics Admin.
- Click on Add New Color Palette.
- A new palette will appear at the bottom of the page. Name your palette.
- Click on the first colorblock to change the color. You can set your color with RGB code or Hex code, or simply click into the color bar to select a color.
- To add more colors to your palette, click on Add New Color (the plus icon).
- To set this palette as the default palette for all users, click on Set as Default (the star icon).
- To delete the color block in the palette, click on the 'X' next to the color block.
- To delete the entire palette, click on Delete Color Palette next to the palette name.
Manage Tags
If you have many data sources, visuals or dashboards, finding a way to organize them so that they can easily be retrieved can be challenging. Luckily we have Tags that can assist. Tags are created by Analytics Admins and can be used in data sources, visuals, and dashboards. A user needs to have edit rights in order to tag their component. For easy retrieval, tags can be filtered on the listing pages. Here's how to create Tags:
- Click on Tags menu in Analytics Admin.
- Click on Add New Tag.
- Name your tag and choose a color by clicking on the color block. Note that it automatically saves.
- Now the tag is available for use in data sources, visuals, and dashboards.
- There's no limit to the number of tags you can create.
- You can edit the Tag's name at any time.
- To delete a tag, click on the delete icon and it will remove the tag from all components.
