Envisio allows you to report by the various levels of your strategic plan and also by department. Because users are associated with a department and are assigned to various plan elements, our reporting system allows you to run a report by department by pulling up the planning elements owned by those individuals in that department.
An Envisio Organization Chart is very similar to your organizational chart. It's used mainly for reporting by department.

Setting Up an Organization Chart
To set up an Organization Chart, follow these steps:

Click on your Profile located on the bottom-left corner of the menu.
- Click Organization Chart below your organization's name.
- To add a new Department click on Add Department button. Enter the Name of the department and press Submit. By default, new departments are added to the root of the chart. To move it to a new location, click on the 3 horizontal bars button and drag it to a new location while holding down the mouse button.
- To edit a department, click on the pencil icon next to the department you wish to edit. You can change the name of the department.
- To delete a department, click on the delete button next to the edit button. The delete button is only available when there are no employees in that department. To remove the employees from that department, reassign them to a different department in the Employees page.
Department Reporting
Clicking on the department names on the left window will display the list of employees associated with that department on the right.
To allow an employee to report by their department, enable the Department Reporting flag. This will give them the Department option in Reports and Filters throughout the system.
Unlinking an Employee From a Department
If the employee is associated with more than one department, you'll see the Unlink button to the left of their name. Clicking on the unlink button allows you to remove the employee from that department. You can also remove them from the Employees page.
