Populating data into an Envisio data source via our open REST API functionality makes it easy to automate your data entry and avoid human error. Have your IT team configure an API call to automatically write new data to your Envisio data source to save your staff the time and effort of manually entering data on an ongoing basis.
There are a few steps in Envisio to make this work:

Create your Envisio data source and define the columns
Follow the steps in this article to create a new data source and columns: How To: Automatically Create Data Source Columns via Upload.

Enable API integration
In the data source, click the Data Integration button at top right, then navigate to the API tab and enable the API integration. -
Share the API details with your IT team
Copy the URL, subdomain, and Sample Payload values from this screen and share with your IT team. If you don't already know your api-key, create a support ticket to request it from us!

Have your IT team code the API call
Your IT team will need to code the API call based on the information you've provided them above.

Test the functionality
Have your IT team execute a test of the API call and check your Envisio data source to see if a new row has been added to the data source!
