Embed Visual

Create an embed visual when you want to display content from external applications (e.g. Socrata, ArcGIS, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) inside your Envisio Analytics dashboard, through the use of iframes. Check with your external applications' vendor on how to generate embed code for the content you'd like to embed in Envisio.

To Embed External Content in Envisio, you need to create an Embed type Visual. Here's how:

1. Once logged into Envisio, switch to the Analytics module.
2. Select Visuals from the left menu bar.
3. Click on New Visual.
4. Select Embed type.
   
5. Give your visual a name on the header. Tab out to save the visual.
6. Click on Embed HTML to access the Properties section.
7. Copy the embed code provided by the external application. 
8. On the Embed HTML field under the Properties section, paste the embed code copied from the external application. Click anywhere outside the field or tab out of the field to render the content. You should now see the content display in the preview above.

You have successfully created an embed visual type. You can share this visual with other Analytics users individually, pin it on a dashboard, or link it to Plans via the Enable Plans Linking option.
