The Gantt View is a great way for all users to view their plan's progress on a timeline. The Gantt View allows users to identify where resources or additional actions might be required to ensure the achievement of strategies and goals.
While in the View/Edit Plan view users will have the option of viewing their plan in a Map or Gantt view. Use the dropdown on the top right to switch plan views:
New plan elements can only be added with the Map or List Planning views.
Display of Your Organization's Plan
Gantt view shows the plan element number, status, progress, owner, start and end dates. Now users can see in one view the progress they're making and how it contributes to the success of their organization's goal. The whole plan can be expanded or individual parts of the plan can be shown by selecting the '+' sign in the Gantt view. Hover on the element to see more details.
Use the arrow button on the right to navigate to the settings for that element.
Add or Hide Columns
Use the cog on the right to select which columns to show or hide. The Plan Elements column is always shown.
View and Filters
The Gantt Chart has several different filters available: status, departments, owners, tags; it also has the ability to hide/display: favourited items, elements pending updates, or elements that are ongoing (do not have an end date).
You can view the chart in different time intervals: day, week, month, quarter, or year.
Setting a timeframe window
Use the date range selector to select a timeframe, or window, that your Gantt chart will use to display the elements. This timeframe changes the start and end date for the chart– the elements will always display the current status and progress.
For example, the date range is set from Jan 1, 2020 to Dec 21, 2025, so the Gantt chart is only showing elements that are within that timeframe. Using the date range selector with the time internals (day, week, month, quarter, year), can give you control over how you display your plan in the chart.
If you have “Show Ongoing” enabled, those elements will span the full timeframe window.
Exporting the chart
Once you have the chart view configured the way you want it, you can export it to either PNG or PDF.
The export will mimic what you see on the screen so make sure all of your filters, intervals, columns, etc. are configured to how you want your export to look.
