System Administrators and plan owners have the ability to clone from an existing plans, saving time and effort for those using Envisio to manage multiple plans.
Examples of how you might use this feature:
- Rolling over of your operational plan to a new year. If you only want to bring over items that have not been completed or discontinued, while extending the end dates, and carry over all the historical updates and workplan.
- Duplicating a special initiative plan to be distributed to different divisions while keeping the plan membership and reporting requirements separate.
- Refreshing your strategic plan and you only need the first level of your plan. This will allow your team to come up with new strategies and actions.
To create a new plan from an existing plan:
- Navigate to the Manage Plans screen, using the plan selector drop-down list in the top menu bar of Envisio.
- On the Manage Plans screen, click Create from Existing Plan at top right.
- Complete the Create from Existing Plan screen.
Create from Existing Plan Settings
- Define the new plan's name and plan owner.
- Choose the source plan you wish to copy from.
- Define whether you would like to copy the plan members from the source plan.
- Define the plan levels you'd like to copy over to the new plan, and any additional inclusions related to your plan levels.
- Choose how you'd like to manage action start and end dates, if Actions are being included. You can choose to Keep Existing, Extend (by a set timeframe), or Set (to specific dates).
- On the right side of the page, you can also choose further inclusions from your source plan, including contributors and observers, measures, tags, update history, and custom fields, reports and Public Dashboard.
