What you can do in Analytics

Data Sources

Data sources hold all your data in rows and columns. You can bring your data into Envisio by manually entering rows, uploading a .CSV file, or scheduling an SFTP import. You can create data sources of the following types:

• Manual
  When working with raw data, this is the data source you need. It has the most flexibility allowing you to capture all your data in a data set.
• Measure
  This is ideal for tracking performance indicators with targets and actuals. It is also a pre-requisite to creating a Scorecard data source.
• Scorecard
  Just as the name implies, this data source type provides you with an at-a-glance view of your performance indicators.
• Transpose
  This is useful when you need to swap the rows and columns for a more suitable charting result.
• Append
  Stack multiple data sources together to form a new dataset. This is useful when you have divisional or regional data with similar columns and you need to combine them to form a larger dataset for charting purposes.
• Pivot
  A common transformation used for summarizing columns and rows for a more effective data representation and analysis.
• Organize
  Filter, sort and reorganize data for effective data representation. 

Visuals

Turn your data into informative, easy to understand, and shareable visuals that are fully customizable.

• You can tell your data story with charts, including Combo chart (column, bar, line), Pie chart, Summary Label, Table, Embed and Scorecard.
• Set visible targets using a threshold on Combo chart, or use conditions to dynamically display a positive or negative outcome or trend in Summary Labels.
• In Table and Scorecard visuals, you can set conditional formatting to highlight columns based on the conditions you set.
• Link your visual to plan elements in the Plans module so that you can combine both qualitative and quantitative results in your reporting.
• Visuals will automatically update when the underlying data source is updated with new rows.

Dashboards

Customize your collection of visuals using dashboards. Share your dashboards internally or create publishable links to share externally.
