At Envisio, we work to ensure that our public-facing tools align with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. This commitment supports our customers in meeting their ADA Title II digital accessibility.
What is accessibility and why does it matter?
“Accessibility” refers to how software tools, such as Envisio, can be accessed and used by persons who may have disabilities, ensuring that they interact and retrieve information without barriers. When addressing accessibility, we look at ways that screen readers read a page or how you can navigate a page with a keyboard, for example. Accessibility means that all people can interact with your content fully and equitably.
Does Envisio conduct accessibility audits?
Yes. In April 2026, we worked with an auditor, BarrierBreak, to conduct our review.
Does Envisio have a VPAT I can review or send to my IT department?
Yes, please email support@envisio.com to get our latest VPAT.
Which products is the VPAT for?
Our auditing vendor, BarrierBreak, reviewed the Public Dashboard, Projects Dashboard, and Analytics Dashboard. We are committed to ensuring that all of our public-facing tools are accessible. These tools were reviewed on desktop and on mobile.
Does Envisio meet the WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 standards for accessibility?
Both– Envisio is built to support your compliance: our public-facing dashboards broadly conform to WCAG 2.2 AA standards which encompass the standards outlined in WCAG 2.1. We ask that you refer to the VPAT if you have any concerns and use the Best Practices article to help configure your dashboards to meet the requirements.
For example, if your public-facing dashboard has a white background with black text, it will have a high enough contrast rating for all WCAG standards. But if you have a yellow background with white text, the contrast rating is not high enough and will fail. This is why we encourage you to review our Best Practices document to help meet compliance requirements.
My organization needs to comply with ADA Title II, does Envisio comply?
While the current ADA Title II requirement is based on WCAG 2.1 AA, our public-facing dashboards are checked against the newer WCAG 2.2 standards which cover the 2.1 standards. This ensures our software not only meets today’s legal requirements but is also prepared for future standards, providing a highly accessible experience for all users. Due to our highly configurable tools, we ask that you review our VPAT and the Best Practices article to ensure your specific setup meets all requirements.
Does Envisio have any Engineering practices to help ensure accessibility standards are met?
Yes, we have accessibility practices embedded in our regular development cycle and use standardized code reviews and quality assurance checkpoints to help make sure we continue to release compliant content for our public-facing tools.
Do you have any documents or best practices to help create accessible dashboards?
Yes! Because our dashboards are so highly configurable we need your help to make sure your tools stay compliant. We have created, and will update, a Best Practices article that will walk you through ways of ensuring that your dashboards follow best practices when it comes to accessibility.
What tools do you recommend to check for accessibility compliance?
We recommend using a color contrast checker when setting font and background colors. There are quite a few of these tools freely available. This will help you identify if your text is easily readable against the background.
Different web checkers will look for different things when it comes to accessibility. Envisio will refer to our auditor, BarrierBreak, to follow their guidelines. If the accessibility checker that you use flags certain parts of your dashboard, please refer to our Best Practices for ways to address this. We will do our best to tackle accessibility issues as they come in but will prioritize issues identified by BarrierBreak.
How can I report an issue with accessibility?
Accessibility issues are fixed alongside our security and performance updates. If you think you found an issue after reviewing our Best Practices article, please email support@envisio.com and they can file it with our Engineering team.
