Performing Bulk Edit in Analytics

In Envisio Analytics, you can edit your data sources, visuals, and dashboards in bulk. For example, you can edit records in bulk to:

• Assign users to multiple records
• Change owner on multiple records
• Assign tags to multiple records
• Clone multiple records
• Delete multiple records
• Add multiple visuals to a dashboard
• Enable/disable plans linking on multiple visuals

Edit in Bulk from the List View

1. Navigate to either Dashboards, Visuals or Data Sources. 
2. Select the records you'd like to make edits to. You can use the Filters or the Search bar to narrow your results.
   
   
   
3. Next, click on the 3 dots to view the bulk options. 
   
   
   
4. Follow the instructions in the modal window that appear. 

Permission

In order to perform bulk edits, you must have Edit rights on the records you've selected. During the permission check, If you don't have Edit rights on one of the selected records, the bulk option will be disabled.

The table below lists all the permission for each of the bulk options.

Bulk Option	Permission
Assign Users	Must have edit rights (i.e. Can Edit or Owner) for all selected objects.
Change Owner	Must own all selected objects, or be an Analytics Admin.
Assign Tags	Must have edit rights (i.e. Can Edit or Owner) for all selected objects.
Clone	Must have access to underlying data sources for transformations/visuals. For other objects (eg. Manual data sources, dashboards), must have access (including Can View) for all selected objects.
Delete	Must own all selected objects. Additional Data Source Restrictions: Cannot delete if data source used for visual Cannot delete if Measure data source and being used for Scorecard Cannot delete if transformation and currently processing
Add to Dashboard	Must have access (including Can View) for all selected objects.
Plans Linking	Must have edit rights (i.e. Can Edit or Owner) for all selected objects
