Requirements
- You need to be subscribed to Public Dashboard (PD) to use this feature.
- You have been assigned as the PD Administrator for your plan.
Navigating Public Dashboard Admin Console
When you first enable Public Dashboard for your plan, Envisio gathers your planning data, measures and updates from Plans and sync them across to Public Dashboard so that you can start configuring your site. To configure your site, we recommend that you work with someone from your Communications department to gather the required information (images, videos and brand colors).
Let's take a look at the sections of the Public Dashboard admin console:
- View All Pages and Current Page
The Current Page field displays the page you're currently viewing. When you first enter the admin console, it defaults to the Homepage. The homepage is the first page your site visitors will see.
To navigate to other pages on your site, click on View All Pages, sliding open a section to the left. You can use the search bar to quickly find the page you want to work on. - Page Settings
This section lists all the options available to configure the current page. Some of the options include background color settings, text areas displaying synced data and optional text areas where you can add additional information, such as tables or media. - Live Preview
Whenever you make changes to the page settings, this section will display a live preview of the page with the changes applied. If you've already published your site, don't worry, the live preview shown here will not be reflected on your published page until you republish. - Device View
We've provided 4 device view options (Wide Desktop, Desktop, Tablet, and Phone) to allow you to check what your page will look like in different resolutions. We've coded the site to be responsive however it's good to check against the different device sizes when you add content that we haven't' planned for. - Last Published and Last Sync Dates
The Last Published date displays the last time your site was published. If your site has never been published, this will display blank. If you make changes to the page settings, an orange alert icon will appear warning you that you have changes pending that have not been published.
The Last Sync date displays the last time data sync was requested. Always check the Last Sync timestamp to ensure you're working with the most recent data. If not, click the three dots in the top right corner, and select ‘Request Sync’. Try and keep these dates as close to today’s date as possible - your site visitors deserve to hear about the great work you’ve done!
Iconography Used
We've used icons throughout the application to convey its purpose and here's a rundown of each one:
| Icon | Tooltip | Definition |
| Edit | Depending on the section, you’ll be able to add images, embed URLs, insert tables and even tweak the HTML code using the WYSIWYG editor. | |
| Upload | Upload an image in .jpg or .png format. You can either drag and drop a file or upload it from your computer. | |
| Delete | On the homepage, you can delete Sub Content sections that you no longer need. If there is content in the Sub Content, it will also be deleted. | |
| Set Background | Where this icon appears, you can set the background color of the section. | |
| Move | On the homepage, you can position the newsfeed above or below (default) your banner image. As well, you can move the header (containing the logo, navigation menu (if enabled), and search bar) inside the banner image. By default, it appears above the banner image. | |
| Show/Hide | The toggle icon is used throughout the admin console to allow you to show/enable or hide/disable the options provided. Green means it's enabled. | |
| Select | The dropdown list provides several options for selection. | |
| Unpublished changes | The alert icon appears warning you that you have changes pending that have not been published. | |
| Sync | The sync icon indicates if a sync is in progress, or if the sync is completed, it will display the last sync date. |
