Edit vs Update in Plans

In Envisio Plans, there's a distinct difference between Edit and Update. In this article, we'll explain how they differentiate:

Edit

Edit in Envisio means to make changes to a record. Whether it's to change the description of a plan element, or to add or change user assignments on a plan element, or to edit a report. Edit is used to describe the action of changing the definition. You can edit a plan element from View/Edit Plan or Submit Updates.

Update

Update in Envisio refers to providing a progress update on either a plan element/measure one owns or contributes to. To provide an update, one can access it through Submit Updates, My Pending Updates dashlet, or one of the dashlets with your assigned deliverables on the home page.
