How To: Link Projects to Plans

Linking your Envisio Projects to existing Plans - strategic plans, capital improvement plans, departmental work plans - enables your project efforts to roll-up their status into your plan, thus contributing to your overall plan progress.

To link a project to a plan

1. Ensure you're in the intended plan by using the Plan Selector drop-list in the top toolbar of Envisio. 
   
   
2. Click into the View/Edit Plan icon in the left side navigation bar, to access your plan's map view.
   
   
3. Navigate to the lowest level in your plan's map view.
   
   
4. Click the three dots to the far right side of the plan's lowest level and click Link Project.
   
   
   
5. Select the appropriate Source Project you'd like to link to your plan, and define whether you'd like to include the project's progress in the overall progress of the plan (as would a standard Action added to the plan).
   Note that you can also review the mapping of your plan's Status values to the project's Risk Status field values.
   
   
   
6. Click Confirm. Your project is now linked to your plan!
