Tags can be used in Projects to help identify and organize projects on your listing page, similar to how Tags can be used in Analytics.
Here are some notes about Tags:
- Tags are managed by System Admins in Project Settings
- Tags can be used by anyone who can edit a Project
- More than one tag can be associated with a project
- Project listing page can filtered by Tags
- Tag names carry a max length of 255 (text)
- You can create a maximum of 50 tags
- When defining a tag, choose from one of the 15 preselected colors or use the color picker or HEX codes for up to 16.7 million color options!
- Tags are specific to Projects, they do not align with Plan or Analytics tags
Manage Tags
As a system admin, you can create, edit or delete tags from with Projects by accessing Settings -> Project Settings > General.
To add a new tag:
- Click on the '+' next to Project Tags
- Give your tag a name, then choose a color. By default, the color is set to light grey.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Tag names are editable.
To delete a tag: Click on the trash icon to the right of the tag.
When deleting a tag, it removes the tag from all projects. If you've accidentally deleted the wrong tag and have not clicked Save, simply exit this page by clicking elsewhere in the application and or refresh and reload this page.
Tagging Projects
Once the tags have been created, they be added to the Project on the project setup page. Multiple tags can be added to a project if desired.
If you don't see the Tags field, it means Tags have not been set up yet.
Filtering by Tag
Once tags have been assigned to your projects they can be selected in the quick filter on the on the Project listing page.
