Accessing Projects planning page
Projects Planning can be accessed by clicking on the Projects planning icon, by any Envisio user.
Projects planning is a central location to manage Projects. The projects listed in this view, are only the projects that the user can access. The default sort on this projects listing page is the start date in ascending order.
- On the projects planning, users can view the project name, status, owner information, start and end dates.
- When a user hovers over the project progress percentage, the tasks completed vs. total number of tasks are displayed.
- Users can easily submit updates for a given project by clicking on the message icon. You can navigate back to the projects planning view after you're done with the status updates of a specific project.
- Users can easily edit the project details by clicking on the edit icon. You can navigate back to the projects planning view after you're done with editing a specific project.
- Users can be mark projects as favourite which can then be easily filtered.
- Users can create a new project by clicking on the New Projects button. Please refer this article for more details.

Users can also duplicate an existing project by clicking on Create From Existing Project button. Please refer this article for more details.
Applying filters and sort
- Easily apply filters to show only projects that require status updates. The system recommends user submitted narratives when project progress has been made (for e.g: task created, task completed etc.)
- Easily hide completed projects by clicking on the risk status drop down and clicking on "Hide Completed".
- All project columns can be sorted (in ascending or descending order) by clicking on the sort icon.
- The filters and sorts can be refreshed by clicking on the refresh icon. This will show all the projects available to this user
The filters and sorts will be persisted across multiple sessions to improve the user experience of navigating through the projects listing page.
Accessing Projects Gantt chart
Gantt charts can be access on the projects planning page. The filters and sort preferences from the projects listing page are preserved in the Gantt chart view.
Once the gantt chart view is displayed:
- Users can zoom in/out to set the time intervals within which the project is set. You can also set the time intervals as Day, Week, Month, Quarter or Year
- Users can export the gantt chart into a pdf format or a jpg format
- The project progress is colour coded with the project status (i.e., On track, Some Disruption, Major Disruption etc.). The project progress is also indicated on the progress bar.
- Users can customize the fields available next to the project name. This customized fields are also made available when exported to pdf and jpg. There is a limit of introducing max 5 new fields in addition to the project name and this limit is set to ensure the gantt chart will be usable.
Export Projects listing to a csv file
Users can export projects using the export icon as indicated below. When exporting to csv, the system will respect the filters set on the projects listing view. When projects are exported to csv, all the projects fields are made available (including the custom fields).
